    A. Emelianenko is not even top30? IMO top15. Tuff guy, check out his fights, totally different style than Fedors but effective anyway.. also good standup. Sherdogs top15, mmaranks top10..

he looks so soft?? um.. no, i don't think so. he has no need to try and intimidate with his appearance, actions, or running his mouth like a lot of fat-head douche bags do. his performance in the ring speaks for itself. calm and composed i can agree with. and i do think his mentality and composure has a lot to do with his success. he is a very honorable fighter.

Fedor looks so soft but stays so calm...I think his natural ability to stay calm during a fight has done much more for him than his training. Look at his brother, who does the same training, he is not even top 30.

That is the thing about sambo, it does not matter if the guy is bigger, leverage and technique will still take him down

Ok then, what pride heavyweight has done well in the UFC? They all get beat by second and third level UFC guys (ex. Nog, CroCop, Hering). It's only logical to wonder if Fedor would last against the best new fighters like Gonzaga, Dos Santos, Lesnar, Carwin, ect. Personally I think those guys are too big for Fedor. We will see how he handles a big and talented guy when he fights in August, if he can win that one I'll be more of a believer. I'm still a fan of his but I don't think he's as good as most people think.

I tend to agree. The UFC heavyweight division is lacking talent in comparison to the other weight classes. Seems like they need an ultimate fighter heavyweights to add some talent into that pool. Why the hell do we need more people in 170, 185, and 205. Especially 205 is stacked to the roof. Hopefully Dana makes a 195 pound division, but would that mean he would have to make a 160lb division, then a 220, and a 240, so forth and so on. Funny how they move up in 15lb (ie 155, 170, 185) then all of a sudden It jumps 20lb to 205. Logically should be 200 next. Now if 195 is in their I could see the same champion capture 205, 195, and possable 185.

Face it, Fedor needs to prove himself by fighting in the UFC if people are to take him seriously.

"when fedor starts to fight top 10 guys then i'll say hes the best"...
Haha...dude, are u sure u watched all of Fedor's fight videos? What did he do in Pride, except fight the best of the best? How about his recent competition: tim, arlovsky, and (soon) Josh barnett? Who are the top fighters he needs to fight: Nog Nog?! Mir??!

arlovski was on a 5 win streak at the time he faught fedor, sylvia had a record of 24-4 and had only lost 2 fights since 2005 t nog and randy. neither were considered washed up at the time.

    Madness
when I say "washed up" I making a reference to the previous comment. I am referring to heavyweights that could be considered past their prime that are in the ufc...randy, coleman, nogiera?

fedor has beaten a lot of fighters that have been in and out of the ufc many of which have been title holders and definitely top 10 guys, and beat them when they were in their prime in pride...cro cop, coleman, nog, randleman, herring, arlovski, babalu..............

Truth, who's washed up in the UFC? Ummm don't you get kicked out of UFC if you show any hint of being washed up? Look at silvia and arlovski, you're pretty backwards. They don't want guys in there who are just going to hang around.

As for the training....really really interesting, they don't even use a gym like they do over here apparently, pretty badass. Fedor has freakish strength and yet little or no weight training. For all anyone knows though, this vid could be here just to throw people off

looks like people either love fedor or love him to death. wow. fedor i think is the number 1 fighter in my mind. till he losses i will put him anywhere . barnett is the second best in the world today. hopefully we see AA and barnett in ufc , and i think both can give the current champs problems.AA was never kicked out of ufc ,he left to do boxing. but now that he lost to fedor i think dana would not like to have him

Arlovski was a top 10 fighter, Barnett is a top 10 fighter...your an idiot. Just cause these guys arent in the ufc doesnt mean they arent top 10.

    Anonynous 2 up,

Your so ignorant I just don't know where to begin. Fedor is ranked the #1 heavyweight MMA fight in the world by every credible source out there (including his peers in the ufc and elsewhere). Guy above is right, you are are just snacking on Dana White's nuts.

    hey douche above me
hey u douche above, you are obviously listening to a lot of dana white chatter. he has got motives. he talks down fedor because fedor is not w the ufc. dana wants to have all the best fighters in the ufc, he knows he doesn't.

quit riding dana's d*** and learn something. many of the heavyweights that are "washed up" are now fighting with ufc, well fedor beat them down in their prime when they all were in pride. fedor has fought eveybody they have thrown at him, high ranked or not and has chewed them up. also douchey, the ufc's heavyweight division aint that great these days.

haha i would love to walk out on that court a start shooting freethrows. On another note, i've seen another video with fedor training and he held a 40 lb.medicine ball just above his head and continuously spun in circles real fast. I bet this exercise gets him used to feeling dazed by a big blow and helps him keep his legs while stunned/hurt.
