Marriage is a life-changing event, and tying the knot especially a month before a fight could be a considered a distraction, but Fedor Emelianenko insists that his recent marriage will have no effect on his focus coming into the fight, negative or positive.
"I don't think my marriage will affect anything in any way," Fedor told reporters Monday on a media call five days before his CBS main event fight against undefeated Brett Rogers.
Fedor married his girlfriend of three years, Marina, the first weekend of October in his hometown of Stary Oskol, Russia.
Rogers agreed on the call with Fedor, who was previously married in 1999 before separating in 2006, that the former PRIDE champion's experience both as a husband and fighter will allow for Fedor to properly prepare without a wrinkle.

Let's see if Brett can his flawless record after Saturday's fight...Fact is he never faced someone with Fedor's skills and experience...He'll be dealing with an utterly different species of fighter...I've got to admit, though, that he has a puncher's chance!

Fedor is one of the most intense guys in the game. Even at the stare downs right before fights he just seems super calm and focused. This guy shows no emotion, and i think it works to his advantage.
