    like mayhem but you may not like the groundgame but that was crazy technical. how many times did jake have mayhems back but mayhems submission defense was amazing great fight. Maybe not alot of standup, but awesome in its own right. And say what you will but Shields definitely won the fight.

    I thought this was a great technical fight. I would love to see Shields V GSP in the future. It would be very interesting to see how GSP does against another dominant wrestler, especially a WW who just took a MW title. I do agree however with the poster who wrote that Hendo will kill Shields. I give Shields no chance against Hendo.

    This fight was actually really good and technical!

    It was just not as good compared to many other Strikeforce fights that night! But if you compare this fight to most UFC fights past present and future you will see that this fight was great!

    i agree that watching people slug it out is fun, but grapplin is still part of mma. i mean, it was great to watch some of the transitions these guys had, and the escapes mayhem kept doing. i mean, i def think it was more interesting to watch than baseball atleast.

    Ya shields didnt look that impressive in this win but I still think he's a top 10 WW, everyone just overhyped him a bit, look at the guys he's beat, Carlos Condit, Paul Daley, Robbie Lawler, Mike Pyle and probably most impressive name on his resume, Yushin Okami, all bonafide top level mixed martial artists. He's a top 10 WW, just no where near fitch, or alves and no ones near GSP for the couple people who pre-fight suggested that would be a good matchup

    I hope Shields comes to the UFC and faces someone a few levels ahead of his boring ass... GSP at Welterweight or Vitor Belfort/Anderson Silva at middleweight. He is not a fighter, he is a wrestler with BJJ. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    First of all how did you guys find this a boring fight? It was pretty much non-stop transitions with a few rest moments with miller sitting leaning against the cage, i found it highly entertaining.

    Second yes, it's obvious Miller needed better takedown defense, especially for being the bigger guy. A couple times it even looked like Miller sprawled so low that he was actually laying on his stomach then shields was just like, ok, i'll take your back but then couldnt do anything about it.

    I hope this card showed that yes, strikeforce has a fairly deep heavyweight division but besides that they have no one to compete with Mousassi at 205, no one at all at 185 really except lawler, no one at 170 besides nick diaz who is perhaps the most underated fighter out there and absolutely no one at 155. Yes they put on a great card but the UFC is still dominant in 4/5 divisions and even I think have a greater overall talent pool at HW but all these strikeforce bandwaggoners are going to automatically call me a Dana White nuthugger for saying that... just the facts folks

    Ok, this card was way better than a typical UFC card. I honestly enjoyed every fight. Also, shit, i wanted mayhem to win. shields just held him down. man, so close in the 3rd round.

    this was the yawner of the year... so boring with no significant action. shields kept going for the backmount and failing, landing barely no shots in the process just crappy submission attempts. neither of the guys looked like a champion.

    fedor saved the otherwise mediocre/sub-par card. and to think 3 of those fights had strikeforce's best... haahahaha

    That was weak, Shields had an embarrassing win. He did nothing but hold Miller the whole time. He wasn't even hurting Miller with his punches. That was pretty lame.

    Miller should have attacked more from the outside. Instead, he kept closing the gap for Shields, always getting taken down and ended up in a stalemate, or worse, mount.

    boring grappler, no intention when punching, no aggression, etc etc...from the start he wanted to end it in a decision victory, making the sport look ugly, no hunger at all...no no no jake you disappointed tonight, you are no champion, playing around with spaghetti is more fun. lucky fedor made us forget this fight ever happened. mayham should of won, he tried to make the show interesting but damn jake man, no damn intention, if throw something only for the points is BS to the fans.

    Yeah i agree, i wanted Mayhem to win as well but Shield did everything to make sure to have that belt next to him at the end.

    Rogers vs Fedor was amazing.
