For all of his accomplishments as a mixed martial artist, top heavyweight fighter Fedor Emelianenko (30-1) has yet to prove himself in one major aspect: as a financially viable draw.
The Russian sambo ace made his name in the now-defunct PRIDE organization, and his recent stints with Affliction and BodogFIGHT each ended with those promotions belly up.
Emelianenko will make another go as a promotional superstar when he headlines Saturday night's co-promotion between Strikeforce and M-1 Global on CBS, and Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker today said he's not worried about a potential failure.

possiably I was trying to get tickets 2 weeks ago cause I live 10 mins away I could only find a couple of cheap seats and a couple of the expensive ones...so now me and my buds arent going guess we will have to wait for the ufc or wec to come back in town

Rogers is in a win-win situation:
If he loses to Fedor he can go to the UFC like Ben Rothwell, who lost to Arlovski. Except that he will have a good chance of becoming UFC HW champ after losing to Fedor.
If he wins, he will be one of the very best in the world! And there will be a rematch with Fedor.

like it depends on AA to be in UFC or not... he was there.. he lost to fedor.. dana dont want him again.. why? coz prolly he would devastate their HW division

If I were Arlovski I would join the UFC like Rothwell,
then after winning a few fights and maybe becoming UFC HW champ,
I would try another fight against Fedor in Strikeforce.

Sorry for bringing up Randy couture! He is a good fighter and a class act!
It's the Dana White-UFC people hate. And even Randy hates him! Remember when Randy "retired" because of contract dispute issues?
Let's face it, Randy in his prime would have given Brock a much better fight or would have won that fight! Just shows how bad the UFC HW division is getting!
The UFC is in deep shit right now and they still just focus on TUF reality shows instead of getting some good fighters!
Strikeforce is going to rule soon!

If I can watch the best HW fighter/legend fight the best wrecking machine and undefeated up and comer for free,
why would I ever want to pay a single $ for old, overrated, overhyped, talentless, and washed up fighters like Kimbo Slice, Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture, Ben Rothwell, Bisping, Leben, ....?????

Im not sure how well Coker and Strikeforce will do with this event financially. But for sure, After this fight MMA and combat sports in general will likely be buzzing with the performances of Fedor and the rest of the fighters on that card. Expect some excellent fights. The fact that its Free on CBS is going to introduce the sport to a lot of people. As a Fan of MMA you just gotta love it.
