  i wish pride was still around i have only recently took notice of mma and on ufc i heard them talkig about pride so i looked its so much better than ufc why on earth did they stop it?

  unfortunately no amount of money can bring pride back. since zuffa will sell the UFC before they let go of their rights to pride.
  
  Dream on the other hand can become like pride. but probably not. the rules in dream are so watered down. no stomping, no kicks to a downed opponent, no elbows. wtf. if they arent gonna allow stomps and kicks to a downed opponent at least allow elbows.
  
  than you got the fact that pride was just something at the right place at the right time. mma wasn't as popular. especially in north america. but it was huge in japan. so all the great fighters flocked there. now the UFC pretty much has like a monopoly on great fighters and all the competition is there. its gonna take a while for DREAM (if ever) to become like pride and compete with UFC.

  Man, there were so many great fighters at that time in Pride, all at their prime. There were fighters from all around the world. There was much more all round fighting than in the UFC, given the choice between Pride and the UFC, i'd choose Pride every time.

  Great Documentary. I never got into MMA like many people until the middle of this decade and while I knew Pride existed and had watched some fights the majority of what I watched was the UFC. I'm actually rather dissapointed I wasn't more of a fan to see the rise of Pride when MMA was at its best.
