Kimbo to Get Special Contract if he Wins TUF

At the media day conference for the tenth season of “The Ultimate Fighter”, UFC President Dana White stated that Kimbo Slice would receive a “different” contract than the usual one which is awarded to the winner of TUF, if indeed the Elite XC vet goes on to win the reality show. (In fact, the contract is “a lot [expletive] different” according to White, which with the curse added, immediately causes one to imagine Kimbo being handed treasure chests full of gold) Usually the show’s champs have been awarded ‘six figure contracts’ spread out over several fights.

White was also quick to credit Slice for responding to the President’s earlier statements, that the fighter of internet-street-pugilistic-notoriety, would only gain entrance into the promotion through competing on TUF, and that further, he was really “impressed” with Kimbo’s management.     "If" Kimbo makes it to the finals and actually wins TUF.....then, and only then do I think that he will do "okay" in the UFC. The competition will be tough for him no matter what. You never know...he might just have been training hard during this off time he has endured. Well at least I hope he has.... I would love to see him **** someone up bad!

    yes kimbo vs lesnar one guy is huge and cant fight for shit but is said to be athletic and the other a street brawler that fought guys smaller than him or overweight bouncers hahaha blockbuster fight of the year ohhhh yeaaaaaaaaaaa cant wait!!!!!!!!!

    idk bj has a great chin and boxing skills he would take it to the ground and strangle him most likely

    Kimbo has been working on his ground game no doubt he was at Extreme Couture for a while. It's not like he hasn't improved on anything since Elite XC im sure he knows whats coming in TUF and has been preparing for it. He seems to have the will power and desire of an Ultimate Fighter I think he can make it. Everyone said the same shit about lesnar. That he was a "fake wrestler" I know Brock has college wrestling expierience but still everyone has doubted him and look where he is now.

    he gases to quickly to even compete in the heavyweight division. I'm not saying he can't win the ultimate fighter,but once he gets to fight an actual ufc contender he will be swallowed alive.

    Although Kimbo may have competed in a lot of street fights, it is undoubtedly true that fighting in the streets is nothing compared to real MMA. But again he has his own background just like everyone else. If he does pull off TUF and win it all, then I think it will be just what Dana White was looking for...Kimbo to come into UFC with his thousands and thousands of fans right behind him, which means more people getting into watching UFC, which means more moola.

    Kimbo's got just as good chance as any one to win TUF . He has an excelent camp and personally trained by Bass Rutten .

    Decent enough boxer , if he puts all that talent into his ground game i think he could have a real shot at the ufc.

    I'm sure Kimbo's been working on his ground game. But for how long ? Maybe 2 years at the most ? There are guys on the show who have a lot more experience on the ground than he does, so for his sake I hope he's worked on his wrestling and takedown defense.

    Kimbo was being taught some ground game by Tank Abbott. I'm not sure if he still is though and I'm not sure how much it may have improved.

    Quit comparing Fedor to Kimbo, Fedor has over 30 fights and Kimbo has only 3. Fedor had better be able to beat a man with only 3 fights. This is not a post for Fedor so go to a Fedor thread and post there.

    Kimbo is'nt no joke hes just green in mma hes been practicing and learning the real mma style .. hes going to be a tuff fighter to fight againts.. i hope he does well.. he has enough sense to get off the streets and go pro GL to him!

    Everyone keeps saying hes not a mm artists but a street brawler. Everybody in mma comes from different backgrounds boxing, jj, wrestling, mui thai, or the streets. Tank Abbott came into the UFC from bar room brawling and noone said he wasnt a mm artist. The man has lost 1 fight and everyone calls him a bust or a joke. If thats the case, Leznar is a bust or a joke because he has lost a fight from a sub. I say he could beat more fighters than people would expect.

    Time to stop whinging about what Kimbo was and thinking what he could be. Give him a chance, if he screws up on TUF obviously he's blown it, but there's more than one good fighter out there that's had a knockout early in their career. Arlovski got ktfo'd on his first outing.

    just to get some points across. There will be no fighting to make into the house. Kimbo will be in the house from the start. It's the way Dana arranged this season. I guess they needed to make sure he didn't get his ass knocked the fuk out before hand.

    Secondly, Kimbo gets paid the same small amount all the other fighters get.... who are in the house.

    IF Kimbo wins, his contract is going to be more lucrative than the common "3 figure" contract other fighters would have received.

    Kimbo's a brawler not a mma fighter. Look who he has fought. Nobody!! He fights street trash. If he makes it into the house and wins then maybe I'll give him credit. Fighting a real mma fighter is a lot different than fight some off the street nobody. Lets see how he does. I'm guessing well but not fantastic. He needs work if he's going to be fight in real mma contest or events.

    White was only saying that kimbo will have the same contract as anyone on the show, while the show is going and after. He said that if he wins his contract would be a a lot different than the one he is getting while he's on the show (as would anyone elses). It's a non story.

    p.s. using the n word is pretty much the same as declaring that you're retarded.
