Quinton Jackson and Rashad Evans to Coach TUF 10

The UFC may have just thrown us a curveball.

The upcoming 10th season of "The Ultimate Fighter" will feature former UFC light heavyweight champions Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans as coaches, according to Fighter's Only.

So what about current champ Lyoto Machida?

Jackson confirmed his participation with a Wednesday Twitter message. And according to the report, Evans, who lost his title to Machida at this past weekend's UFC 98 event, will take the other slot.

The UFC, of course, traditionally pits two coaches against each other who then fight at the series' conclusion. However, this upcoming season, which debuts Sept. 16 on Spike TV, will apparently be an exception.

Rampage and Machida are still scheduled to fight in September, prior to the seasons opening. Atleast read the rest of the article before you start running your mouth.

    Rampage passed the title shot
I just can't believe Rampage passed the chance to get the championship belt...there's no other explanation but fear.....He knows he stands no chance against Machida...

The coaches often face off after the event, but its not typical, and its only happened once on the season conclusion - and that's Season 5. Chuck and Randy didn't face off straight away, Franklin Hughes compete at two different weight classes, Tito and Shamrock was built up, but again fought on PPV not the spike finale, S4 had no coaches, but the winners fought the champs on PPV not spike, S5 was the only time the coaches fought on the Finale, S6 took till last weekend to get that fight between the coaches, S7 and S8 did pit the coaches against each other, but once again the PPV event AFTER the finale.
