    First off, f*** you Joe Rogan. I love it when this dude says someone got robbed right as they declare the winner. Sometimes I agree with him, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather he say some shit that's more professional and less damning.

    Frankly I don't see how Belcher could've won that. Akiyama totally had rounds 1 and 2, maybe not the 3rd. He pressed the action and took Belcher down and kept control there the majority of the time.

    Belcher was robbed. More fights like this in the UFC and i'll start chalking this shit up as staged like WWE. Akiyama looked like he was used as a bowling pin.

    What the hell happened to Belcher? He looked like crap all the way around. I really like the guy, but come on man, that's just sad. Not only that, but getting beat by "Slippery" Akiyama. Son of a bitch. I was hoping that cheating f*** would have his debut spoiled, and now we have to put up with him sticking around. You assholes should really check out some of the youtube videos on Akiyama. I'll tell you this, he is not revered in Japan like Chuck Liddell. Not even a little bit. Old "Slippery" doesn't belong in this show.

    points-wise akiyama won the fight. The commentators
    thought it was controversial because belcher was in better
    condition once the fight was over. UFC is a sport now and
    points overrule when it goes to a decision. Belcher should
    work on giving his all in his next fight or fight more technically
    for points, and not feel bad.

    akiyama won all 3 rounds. 1 takedown in 1st round and some punches and he was on top for most of the fight in the 2nd and third both land good punches but akiyama has a takedown

    Akiyama was stupid to keep eating those leg kicks in the hopes of knocking Belcher to the ground. He did get him to the ground 2 or 3 times that way but it didn't do anything. It was not worth the trade-off. He should have countered with a right more and at least checked them. He should have tried staying on the inside and punching with Belcher. I saw a lot of missed opportunities for good punches. That way too, he could have clinched with Belcher and worked more judo takedowns. Belcher was smart to stay on the outside and pepper the kicks. He had a great ground game too. Unfortunately for him, his footwork was a bit lacking (moving straight back and not pressing enough when he could have, especially with Akiyama limping), and I think Akiyama just barely eeked out that decision. I don't know about scoring what rounds for whom but Akiyama had the overall better performance -- but not by much. It was mostly due to his takedowns and those few good punch counters/combos. Really left much to be desired.

    I agree with the Judges but I thought it was 29-28 for Akiyama. He won the first and third round. Third round cause he got a solid knock down and a solid takedown. That was the right scoring.

    i do not see what the big deal is. round 1 had both fighters getting knocked down, but akiyama got top position. round 2 was clearly akiyama. round 3 was a close one, with belcer getting better striking but akiyama getting top control. why is akiyamas win controversial. to me its controversial that he did not get a unanimous decision of either 29 28 or 30 27

    what controversy? Akiyama dominated the two first rounds. And in the third round just because Belcher threw some weak light punches an low kicks doesn't mean anything.

    That judge must have liked how Akiyama stayed loose the whole fight even when hurt. Because that is the only way I see the fight being 30-27.
