Andrei Arlovski: ‘I got my ass kicked, it’s that simple’

The loss bothers me, it hurts me. I have to do something about this. (Brett Rogers) had a good record, but I thought he was not the top like Fedor or Barnett. It was my mistake and when you make a mistake you have to pay for it. I took Rogers seriously, but I didn’t think the fight would have been this situation. I focused too much on boxing and not enough on the wrestling and jiu-jitsu. It wasn’t right. It’s another thing I have to think about. MMA is not boxing. I have to change something. I don’t understand this question about my chin. When you open your face for four or five punches it doesn’t matter your chin, you will get KOed. Rogers was great, he did what he did. I took the fight and I got my ass kicked, it’s that simple. It’s embarrassing, but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I have to move on. I’m definitely going to come back.

He needs alot more than head movement. He needs boxing Knowledge period along with other things

good stoppage, and i think that'll be the last for andrie in mma, but watch out boxing cus i'm sure he'll do very well... shame really cus he is amongst the top heavyweight mma fighters, , , goodluck. ys

not even the guy that got knocked out thought it was early stoppage. rubbish. as for his chin, i don't see why everyone immediately says glass chin. The guy got knocked out on the button by hard strikes.. enough said. I think that as a result of his recent losses we will see a reborn AA.

so nobody thinks it was a bit of an early stoppage? he was upright on his hands you cant do that when your knocked out. he was hurt bad but silly john.. could of give him like at least 3-4 seconds to recover..

I like Arlovski and this Interview! For me he is always one of the top Heavyweights in the World!! He gives Rogers the Respect and i hope he finds his way back!!! Pls more focus on MMA and not on Boxing!!!
