Brock Lesnar: Nobody is taking my belt

He said: "I watch the other heavyweights and I don't feel threatened by any of them.

"It doesn't mean jack s*** to me. I just want to win fights and make as much money as I can.

"It's all part of the plan and it's a dream come true. I'm not getting caught up in la-la land. I'm keeping everything in perspective and keeping it real.

"But even though I've got the belt, I can still become a better fighter. It poses a whole other threat now, with people gunning for you and not just me trying to climb the ladder."

He added: "I've had plenty of jobs to put food on the table. I grew up on a farm in South Dakota so I'm no stranger to hard work.

"But you have to make money. If there wasn't a prize or a guy couldn't make a living out of this I highly doubt that anybody would fight.

"Put it this way, guys play golf for recreation. You don't fight and get bloody noses and black eyes for fun. I'm a grown man and I have to make a living out of this."

    Lots of people love Lesnar to the point that they ignore his skills. He moves like a freakin light wieght. At that size, that is a major upper hand. Maybe he's not Jiu Jitsu expert but his wrestling is top of the heap for sure. And he can punch. Remember Heath Herring getting knocked ass over head right off the bat? I rooting for Mir but its gonna a very tough fight for him.

    Randy beat Brock in the clinch and overall control. That shows you something about Brock considering his massive size advantage over Randy. Brock's weakness is against submissions imo and Mir is a dangerous submission artist, Brock will have to watch it or Mir will submit him again.
    Hate the guy or not, the reality is every fighter fights for money. That doesn't mean it's their only reason for fighting though.

    I feel fighters need to do it for the love of what they do above all, if you dont see it that way, then to me you are not a true fighter. We all know Brock did not work his way to the top in MMA.
    How many fights did he have before he became champ?
    Will Brock be exposed as bad as Kimbo soon?
    Time will tell, I still dont know much about Brock's ablility besides takedown & hammerfists.

    Now don't get me wrong; i like Lesnar but why the hell is he hyping himself up this bad? Lets face it, Couture (one of my favourite fighters and Hall Of Famer respectively) is on his way out (but i guess we'll see on Aug 29th). It wasn't an amazing win and it just seems that his lack of experience shows. I can honestly see Mir taking the belt off him due to something simple... He's a great wrestler but that seems to be his only strength with a small amount of Ju Jitsu and even then, Mir beat him with a leg lock back in UFC 81. Even now i still believe that he shouldn't have won the fight with Heath Herring in 87, but who knows... I guess we'll have to wait till July 11th. Peace.

    The scary thing is Brock is still new to the game! He is only going to get better with time. I do feel that he can be beat, but , i also believe that whoever plans on doing it better do it now! I respect the hell out of Brock because he comes to fight and thats it. His power alone is alot for people to handle and plus he has top level wrestling and that alone can take him to the next stage of MMA. If think im blowing smoke all u have to do is take a look a Matt Hughes, Cain Valasqez, Josh Koscheck, and so many others who have used wrestling as a base. Once he learns how to throw kicks,combos,and even jujitsu, he is not only going to hurt the lovers fellings., he is also going to hurt their fighter on a level we have never seen before!He needs to get more training with top level trainers. At least give him a chance before you put him down!
