UFC heavyweight Cain Velasquez , who is currently 8-0 after an impressive TKO victory over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 110, sits down with Fight Week to discuss his upcoming title match against heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar at UFC 121. As champion, Cain feels that he would be a role model for the Latin community. The challenger also says that Lesnar's size will make no difference when they meet.

    Carwin was a serious threat...
Now how can anyone really think Cain is going to do it, unless they jumped on his nuts now. I thought Carwin was going to win at first, but then Lesnar withstood his onslaught of punches and choked him out. I don't see Cain being any different. 8-0 to Shanes 12-0, now 12-1... Brock is a "Undefeated Record Killer".
Seeing how Shane kept making up excuses for his loss, what do you think Cain will do? Cain's to small, maybe fast, but to small.

I thought Carwin wonna win too,but his cardio worst and his punches missed it most of them or blocked and his groundgame really suck ! apparently to be appeared he just gassed out .Cain much more skill and well rounded 245 vs 265 not a big factor ,hes younger and much faster ,anyway will see..imo

    Hmm
Cain manhandled Rothwell who is taller and weighs the same as Brock if not heavier. I wouldn't count him out. I'd give Cain the advantage in this fight. Brock is clearly lacking serious skills. Cain will kick Brock's legs out from under him.

But who the hell knows. This is MMA. Unpredictable.

Rorhwell is no where near as good as Brock in wrestling. So im pretty sure Brock has a higher chance of beating Cain than Rothwell did, but you're right don't count Cain out.

    Skills
Thank about this... Brock's lack of skills made him Heavyweight Champ. His lack of skills choked out Carwin. His lack of skills demolished Mir. His lack of skills is powerful to say the least. I don't see Cain manhandling Brock.
But there will be nuthuggers jumping on anyone who faces Brock just hoping they will win.
Put Cain vs Carwin in your mind. who do you think will win?

I think Cain can do it. You guys watch, he'll out-box Brock, stuff most of the takedowns and get that TKO

That could be possible, he could definitely outbox him and stuff his takedowns, or Brock can with stand his punches and charge in with a takedown for the win.

"Carwin's fist put people to sleep"
L...M...A...O... if Carwin couldn't do it with his 5xl hands how do you think Cain can? Brock was getting his A$$ kicked and over came the beating to get a choke the next round. Cain won't gas we all know that, but I don't see him doing anything to be called a serious threat.
Brock is a serious threat to anyone coming for his belt.

Carwin got too anxious. Cain will time the punches better, and will not fill his muscles with lactic acid like Carwin did

    The Future...
Cain got too anxious... JDS will time his punches better, and will not get overwhelmed with pressure to beat Brock to prove something.

Of course I'm going for Cain. Realistically I would have to put my money on Brock right now.

Well I doubt Cain when he went against Nog and look how it turn to be, this time I am goign with Cain, he is as fast or faster than Lesnar, he has the Wrestling to stay on his feet or if he shoots first he may be able to get him down, he has better cardio than Carwin and his boxing is by far superior to Lesnars.

If I were Cain I would stick and move, get inside land some combinations get out, in the later rounds maybe try to Take him down and G&P Lesnar, I think he is skill enough to stay on his feet, I do not see him KOing Lesnar but maybe a TKO. also I would chop Lesnar legs for three rounds I think he is fast enough to land leg kicks without being taking down.

This is a better fight for Brock in my opinion. He should be able to take Cain down with ease. I think Brocks boxing is just a distraction for his take downs. Only way i can see Cain winning is in the championship rounds when Brock is exhausted. Brock also has a super long reach he can jab his way in. I just can't see Cain stuffing Brocks take downs, i think Judo would be a good approach against Brock, i say that because Judo uses the momentum of your opponent.
