Coleman is ready to wait as long as it takes to fight Tito Ortiz

UFC Hall of Famer Mark "The Hammer" Coleman reflected on Randy Couture's fantastic shape and crisp striking that was just too much for him to handle. Mark Coleman stated again that he is not preparing to retire anytime soon, and that a bad blood fight against Tito Ortiz is the next thing he wants to do in the UFC. Ortiz is scheduled to fight Chuck Liddell at UFC 115, but Mark Coleman stated that he is prepared to wait long as it takes to fight his arch-nemesis.

    The guys just clutching at straws now to stay in the game, give it up Mark, people would prefer to remember you as the great fighter you were, your not that same guy anymore and it's not pretty to watch, i don't rate Tito anymore either but i think he would beat you on cardio alone. You've done a lot for this sport and been around a bit but don't go out like this man, retire gracefully and let people remember you for bieng the first HW champion and all the other acheivements you've racked up.............

    It's not that I entirely disagree but when you've been fighting as long as he has, what kind of job do you think he'll get. All he knows is fighting and win or lose it pays more than Walmart. Just sayin'!

    Can't blame him for wanting to put up another fight or two if he feels it is within him and that he can improve on something. Randy was a bad match-up for him. He doesn't look as good as his age as Randy does (an understatement), but it isn't unreasonable to think maybe he can pull off one more win.

    I agree. I hope Dana changes his mind because I would hate to see Coleman go out like that. Tito did not look so great against Forrest. everyone saying Tito's cardio but, he gassed in the 3rd round hard in his last fight. If Tito loses to Iceman (can't believe Dana is serving us that meal Again) I say let 'um bang. I wouldn't buy it as a headliner but, Coleman deserves a chance to redeem himself in his last fight.

    22 More rounds and Coleman would have destroyed Randy. Coleman was playing the 'waiting game,' it is a good tactic, unfortunatey Randy was playing the superior 'smack an old guy in the face' tactic. If Randy had just stood there - like in the training scenario's that Coleman expected, Mark would have won hands down.

    Coleman should be able to win a title still, he has the heart, not the skill, not the sense, not a realistic chance in hell, but he has the heart.

    I would love to see Colman beat Tito. Unfortunately I don't think he has any explosiveness left in him. Colman may be the only person left in the UFC that Tito can beat. That includes Ariani.

    Oh God, please just fuking retire. Coleman was decent 10-15 years ago when the UFC consisted of brawlers and basic wrestlers. It's too technical now for these old 'legends' to compete, Couture excluded, for now.Randy has advanced and stayed with the times, constantly stepping up his fight education and training techniques.Time is catching him as well though as it does everyone.He looked as good as he did at 109..because he was fighting...Coleman...Against a Shogun or Machida...or even Rampage...Randy will be going to sleep as well.Fighters never know when to throw in the towel, sometimes that's simply because they need the money. I hope this isn't the case with Coleman...he needs to take up fishing and just watch MMA from the stands.

    I respect Coleman's will to battle, but its really time to step back man.
    5 years ago he'd beat Tito, but I dont think his cardio could take him now days and the Titi is trying to exploit that against fighters he knows he can beat by decision.
