    Cheap was the groin strikes that Kongo threw at him and you dont talk about that, which leads me to think that you are simply UFC fanatics that will quickly disregard any fighter that had/has a good career outside of the UFC.

    cro cop really shows here that he's got still got plenty of speed, pop and accuracy in his strikes

    he just seems to need to get his confidence back and he'll be a fantastic addition to the UFC talent pool for sure.

    as for the eye-poke...It was way way way less obvious that all the preceding posts would mislead one to believe. Incidental at most, and Al Turk already had one foot in the grave.

    You have to look at all aspects of the fight. Al Turk landed nearly 0 punches through the whole fight as Mirko dodged about everyone. Crocop I agree wasnt the most aggressive he's been but he used little effort as possible and still executed. He could have finished the fight when he had Turk on his back before the eye poke. Also the ref. made a poor decisions in not calling time out for Turk to recover. Poor performances from the judges and refs like these is a big reason why Fedor doesn't sign with UFC. Fedor: "The UFC doesn't treat fighters like people."

    What makes MMA Good?
    MMA is such a great sport because it can turn any way at anytime. Mirko brings striking, Mostapha brings wrestling. Mirko was the better of the two in the fight but had by no means won it. Yes he had a lot of sucessful punches and took Al Turk to the ground. However, when he was hitting him on the ground he backed out. He did not attempt any kind of grappling with Al Turk. This was a wise move from Mirko, but also shows he was not totally dominating the fight. He was not comforatble going there in the same way we see other fighters do. Al Turk still could have brought something to the table in that position or even later on, we'll never know. When they got up the next thing that happened was the eye gauge. What a shame. Clear victory? No. Fair Victory? No. Accidental? An experineced striker lazy with his fists in the first round? This fight should have been a no contest. Mirko should be punished if he does something like that again and at least pay for the surgery to Al Turk's eye. If the ref had spotted the gauge then the fight could have been stopped and restarted. What a shame.

    Cro Cop is shell of what he use to be.He cant make a run at the title anyways.He's better off in Dream.He would fight and lose again in the UFC.I would like to see Alister Overeem in UFC.Now he would be a huge threat to anyone!

    Yes it was a bad poke to the eye , but the ref did not make the fight fair !!!!!!!!!! he probably would have won but this but this ref need to wake up, this is more the subject than anybodys performance, unfair fight because the ref !!

    He is not full recovered jet. His knee isn't healed. And time is against him. But Mirko is probably top ten mma fighter of all times. Al Turk deserves that poke, maybe Filipovic poked him on purpose, because Al Turk constantly tryes to hit Mirko's injured knee, and that was very unfair of Al Turk!!! Mirko svi smo uz tebe, ali tvoje vrijeme znas i sam da je proslo, i sve sto cinis sada, radis istu gresku kao Cikatic,i stavljas mrlju na svoju karijeru.     I think Crocop is really past proving anything & deep into the payday.
    He is simply playing out contracts implied or written and going to the next payday.
    Thats his choice, and Dana simply got his feelings hurt after CroCop took the 1 time deal and moved on instead of signing for more with Dana. Dana will get over it as soon as the next big payday arrives.

    Gonzaga folded cro cop's leg like a chicken wing that is why he had to have surgery. it looked like something out of the exorcist movie.     This is why I tell people I spar with not to do those loose-fisted punches. I don't know why guys do that when they have MMA gloves on. Do it in a street fight, not in sparring or a sanctioned MMA fight. It leads to nothing but eye gouges. If you want to test your reach, close your fist. That's how you're gonna follow through anyway for a KO. Dan Henderson does it too and he got Rich Franklin in the eye, only the ref saw that one.

    i believe that was a smart fight by cro cop, waited for the right time and exploded. Al turk was done before the finger to the eye. These things happen, but i have to see, didnt see cro cop as aggressive as he used to be, hopefully he comes back stronger
