seems awesome! but i wonder how long will take to have a UFC gym near you! i mean theres not been even a UFC event in san diego , so how long will they take to put a gym here and near because san diego its a big city ! and another thing , most UFC fighters save the money they make in fights to put there own gym's and try to live with the gym business! now with UFC gym's will take that from the fighters who put there own gyms like brandon vera's gym , hes in san diego and the only one in miles imagine if a ufc gym is put here i will defenly change to the ufc gym and im sure most will

Aerobics instructor goes back to the gym
Ah yes, Dona White, ex-bouncy post-John-Travolta-in-Perfect step kick aerobics instructor who ended up 'managing' the ambigious senor tittito and fronting the maceo-fertita offsprings into a marketing bonanza using name recognition from reality TV appearances instead of bringing in world champion athletes from various martial arts.
We were commeting how rather calm he seems to have been before and after the CBS/Strikeforce weekend blast. No condescending words, no smarmy comments, nothing.
Sure, we are all thinking there is no way he could do his usual routine with the CBS show giving us quality and excitement that the UFC hasnt been able to give fans. And even mainstream fans could see that this was the real deal as opposed to the only MMA offering they are usually ' offered 'free' on a small cable network and which consists of mediocre fighters acting like retards.
No, Dona stayed quiet because even he couldnt bring himself to try to shoot down the CBS event.
So instead of the usual and confronting a well run organization that's above the mudslinging he so adores, White is launching his new adventure: the fitness centre.
Wow, how 1992 of him.
I guess you can take the aerobics instructor out of the gym but you cant make him give up his tights and warmup socks.
The community is awaiting with excitement the chance to combine the hunt for the body beautiful with the possibility to roll around with tight sweaty men all in one place.
Bravo Dona, be proud of your roots.

Fedor trains in an old gym with kids and ordinary people, and he's the best fighter in the planet. Fancy gyms are there to rip everyone of their money and to create the false illusion that you actually need all these costly machines and trainers to become a competitive fighter...Ultimately, this is a capitalist product where common folk won't be allowed entry, let alone training...............

Strikeforce will go under just as all the rest do! I do like some of the fighters with strikeforce and they do have some good fights from time to time. The Ufc has more top ten fighters in the world in every division then strikeforce ! they also put on more shows have more title fights they have more pound for pound fighters! they also have TUFand WEC! The UFC is also global and plans on expanding even more ! The plans that the UFC has for next year is going to blow you away! The UFC is trying to expand MMA in dif directions wit gyms, TUF,WEC going to other countries etc! the UFC will be here forever and will only get bigger! All the major sports in the world sell products! The UFC is no dif than them! so stop hating

Hitmachine, I agree...
Scott Coker acts respectful and professionally, while Dana White just spouts off like a loudmouth adolescent. No class. I guess that appeals to a certain demographic, but not me.

The absolute only reason Coker was able to get himself and strikeforce on CBS is because DW did all of the work for him. Coker is riding on coat tails.
FACK, Strikeforce puts one decent card and all the DW haters think that Scott "Thanks God for Fedor" Coker has had something to do with the advancement of MMA in North America and the rest of the world. I am fine with the idea of other promotions, but UFC deserves the credit for what they have done for the sport we all love.

yes, I would love to have a gym like this near my house. Hopefully is not expensive, but that's what it looks like.
But I would never substitute the dojo I go to for this gym. No way.

After seeing Fedor Vs Rogers you still calling Strikeforce boring? You should punish yourself for saying that. Strikeforce is not as big yet but it will soon, just give it a lil more time.

I'm sorry, but marital arts and mma gyms already exist in most every town. Why are they acting like this is some revolutionary idea? Besides, most UFC fans are on the couch eating chicken wings. Doubt any of them are going to get off it.

Way to whore the sport. I agree with the Starbucks analogy. Quantity does not equal quality. A lot of people, like myself, who respect the dignity of MMA are disgusted by the UFC in recent times. I think their motives and priorities are less than respectable.

Coker sold that fight to a major network that brought MMA to the public with class. He absolutely sold Fedor v Rogers. Apparently you don't understand all the variables of marketing.

Well they sold it for free right? once they advertiser see the polularity of it theyll get on board and publicity will go through the roof which will end up paying more then the ppv which less face it are lame at best lately ,Also most of us watch it on the net swo he doesnt make squat this said i think dana is preparing is exit getting ready to teach aerobics like he did in the pass ,thats what he did no jokes b4 he met tito (they call it fitness) but it is aerobics ,the guy is a douche and for the ufc to bloom you need him out of the way ,theres a reason why the best fighters do not fight in the ufc anymore and it starts with him ,when i think of dana a always remember the faggy guy scared by Bas in a pride interview ,****ing fag hope strikeforce does better and better that was real mma not made up realit tv guys for their reality ppv ,**** the ufc theyll never get a champ like Fedor 4 sure

He forgot to say that they are going to be a breeding ground for wannabe douche bags. It'll be the same as every big corporate gym. Bored underpaid staff, and too many f@#$king people. And BJ, whats wrong with the "local Dojo"? This gonna be like what Home Depot is to "mom and pop" hardware stores. Putting the little guys out of business. The local Judo dojo by me has been there for 30 plus years, they charge about 40 bucks a month and the classes are 2 hours long. and yes, kids classes are less. The sensei knows his students inside and out and makes them better players for it. This commercial is super misleading. Kenny Florian and Forest arent gonna in there chilling with you. So continues the Mickey-Mouse-ifacation of the UFC. Starbucks indeed.
