UFC
Exclusive: Thiago Alves out of UFC 107 bout vs. Jon Fitch
Posted By Pylore
UFC News

A rematch between highly-ranked UFC welterweights Jon Fitch and Thiago Alves planned for UFC 107 on Dec. 12 in Memphis, Tenn. will not take place as scheduled, FiveOuncesOfPain has learned.
Alves was forced to withdraw from the fight due to an unspecified injury and that discussions to secure a replacement have already begun.
The news of Alves falling off the card comes as yet another blow to the UFC’s plans for UFC 107, as season 10 coaches of The Ultimate Fighter Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson had originally been rumored to headline the event.

THis league is kinda getting boring and over hyped. no one seems to be around. There all injured or whatever the hell. Plus it seems the sale of the whole thing is exhausted. Everytime it's the "BEST IN THE WORLD" fighting each other. That can't be true. Most of these fights are pretty bad.

That would have been a good rematch,Alves got better and would have given a better answer to Fitch.

some of you guys are way too green
you don't know what they go through training, hell! it is more demanding than the fight, and you give it all in the gym in exchange for a chance to shine.
this is why I respect these guys, they go beyond 100x the average joe to achieve greatness, but sometimes our body remembers that we are humans and sh!t like this happens.

Injuries happen, but the UFC is slowly going down!
Couture vs Vera, Tito vs Griffin, Kimbo vs Houston, Brock vs Carwho(?) oh come on!
And the few good fights they have left (Shogun vs Machida) the judges mess them up!
The UFC is going down! Hopefully Dan Hendo and Shogun will sign with Strikeforce soon!

Injuries happen, you cant blame the fighters. This is bound to happen especially when the fighters train so hard. Just hope things like this don't continue to happen as frequent as they are.

what? another pull out ? I say Fitch vs Condit so if Fitch wins he is next in line for a title shot and if Condits wins (unlikely tho) the would definitely become a top contender. Heck then again if they're giving Swick a title chance they may even give one to Condit . Fitch should be the top contender right now tho.
