Forrest Griffin is not happy with Little Nog fight

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin explains why he is unhappy with his proposed bout at UFC 114 against  Antônio Rogério Nogueira who is also known as "Little Nog":

"That is a horrible fight for me. I have trained with his brother a little bit, so he already has the 'inside scoop' on me, he's a southpaw, has got a good chin, and has good power. Plus he is pretty solid on the ground. The only place I would have an advantage would be wrestling... and my wrestling is not that good. So yeah, that’s a tough match up for me. I'd do it, if that’s what they wanted, but being straight up, there are other guys I'd rather fight."

Forrest Griffin is essentially the underdog ahead of this fight, however, he has proved himself to be a top 10 Light Heavyweight fighter with notable wins over current number one contender Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, despite also being the underdog in both fights.

    exactly what i thought about him. He asked for shogun cos he was coming back form injuries and thought he could win and get a great mane on his win record but He doesnt want little nog cos he knows how tough it will be.He wants someone easier!

    He getting exposed the way I see it, he was lucky Shogun had no cardio and a still recovering ACL operation.
    Then he fought Rampage who also was going through some mental issues at the time.

    why are you making excuses for rampage and shogun? forrest beat them fair and square and he has a good chance of winning this one too. "He getting exposed" everyone has always known forrest isnt the greatest fighter alive but he works hard and does the best he can. and the guys who have beaten him havent exactly been cans imo

    Forrest hasn't been the same since the loss to Silva. I think he should try switching camps, work on his speed, and overall stand up some more. He always complained about his stand up, and it seems hes yet to work on it. He just needs to learn new things from some new people.

    Griffin is a warrior his last 5 fights have been wit the worlds best, tito former lhw champ, silva one of the best p4p fighters ever, rashad one of the best lhw's, rampage one of the best lhw's n at that time champ and shogun arguably the best lhw at that time coming from pride and now hes fighting lil nog, griffin fights the best of the best even after he loses

    Forrest has been around the block, he knows what he is doing. If Lil Nog eases his training 5% because he thinks Forrest is a Fraidy Cat, Forrest has a much better chance.

    Forrest also needs his assed kicked to get up and go, he will come on stronger the more he loses. Losing 1 is a better learning experience than winning 150 straight.

    For a guy who isn't physically gifted and has no dominant skill set, ol' Forrest has done pretty well.

    I think it's awesome to hear a fighter say what's he's thinking instead of the usual cliched crap. It takes a lot more guts to be honest instead of sayinhl "give a 110%, stay within myself, impose my will, blah blah blah".

    look, i hate commenting on my own submission, but whats ur problem with what i wrote? just because im not a full time mma journalist doesnt make me a nobody, all im doing is putting up articles which ive got from other sources up on this site.

    plus, how can you say its not legit when the majority of it is direct quotes from forrest himself? how much more legit can it be? seriously, i dont get why several of my post have come under attack for being bs, when they were direct quotes other sites, publications etc obtained from the fighters themselves??

    look at the facts.... little nog is undoubtly an amazing fighter, forrest knows this, im a huge forrest fan but he jus a got a win after 2 straight losses, u have to cut him some slack cuz maybe hes worried bout gettin owned real bad again jus like the silva fight, forrest has always been honest and upfront bout shit and u should respect him for that, maybe hes not rdy, but he has proven himself time and time again so if he gets his head on right he could pull this off
