Dude, Machida isn't Tim Sylvia or Gabriel Gonzaga... matter of fact, even the best opposition Couture has faced (like Liddell etc.) don't measure up to Machida. I'm not doubting Couture because I'm trying to be an asshole, I'm just being realistic. This isn't an MMA fantasy world, not only would Couture probably lose... he would probably get massacred.

i think randy will kick machida's ass. we always think he can't do something, then he does it. this matchup, however i think favors couture. he has a great clinch and will try to manhandle machida for five rounds. standing he may have disadvantage but he did go toe to toe with belfort and liddel 1 and kicked both their asses. bottom line, don't doubt anything this man can do.

Damn, Randy gets caught in a fight he was winning and all of a sudden no one gives him a chance?!? Randy still has it. If he is able to turn this fight into a wrestling match he will win. I also think that he could wear down Machida against the cage and beat him. Just as likely he can't get a hold on Machida and gets KOd, but I give him a good chance. I also think he has a good chance against Lesner in a rematch. If you don't think so, go watch that fight again and tell me if you really think Brock was winning that BEFORE he got a very lucky punch. He was gassed out and ready to drop.

As much as i love Randy, i really don't think he has the speed to compete with Lyoto Machida. Hopefully we some good things from Randy in the Vera fight.
