  definitely a bad stoppage. Koscheck was on his feet seconds after the hit, and we all know he has a strong chin. i think it's a toss up if paulo thiago would have finished it. i think josh would have come back and won because he was dominating until he got caught with that uupper cut. bs. bad ref

  josh koshchek is top 3 i would say in athleticism the fighers themselves have said many times that the better conditioned you are the quicker you recover josh was rocked but by no means was he out

  It is as clear as daylight this was a premature stoppage. JK was not out. His eyes were fixed on his opponent, he was positioning himself in the guard position, he had both his arms and feet up ready to defend. If that is not ""intelligently defending himself"" I don't know what is. The ref panicked, that's all that happened there and it's a damn shame. JK could have won this easily.

  WTF, man the guy just got saved a few punches that would of just jiggled his brain a bit, and for what. Just so us fans could know he lost without a doubt. Look JK knows he was out and appreciates that is was stopped. He is just playing the game and making more fight fans. Come people these guys are athletes not punching bags..grow up and appreciate some damn good officaiting.

  Man, great job Thiago. I don't blame the referee at all, as JK was definitely out. However it does appear he came back pretty quickly and would have been able to protect himself, so I understand JK's frustration. But again, the ref saw him out (which he was) and had already made the decision to call the fight. That's MMA, sometimes you just get caught!

  only reason paulo didnt go in for the kill is cause he knew kos was done and his eyes def did go into the back of his head no need for more abuse whats done is done..kos is a good fighter without a doubt but he got rocked done deal gone stoppage..early stoppages in some of the fights but this one was a right one so stfu lovers kos d*** lovers

  From watching many MMA bouts, the ref stopped this fight way too early, since Thiago didn't go in for the kill. JK had enough sense to pull himself up off of the mat and was preparing to defend himself. If it was me, I would have punched the ref for stopping it!

  Kos was clearly out, his eyes were back and he just reached up, not at all in a defensive way. If PT had had a chance to finish, Kos would have just been embarrassed more. Kos connected several times in the fight and didn hurt Paulo at all. PT is a good fighter, he didn't even have a chance to show his BJJ skills. That uppercut was timed perfectly, Kos was out and it was a good stop.

  dude, Kos' eyes were rolled back in his head, are you blind! He got ROCKED! The ref saved his ass. You see his hand help up like ""stop I'm hurt bad"" when he was on the ground? Kos is a punk and deserves to lose until he learns respect for other fighters. In TUF he was a jerk, I'll never forget it and will never root for him. He is talented, I'll give him that, but a wicked punk. This fight made me smile bigtime. The ref did his job, when your eyes roll back in your head, it's the refs job to stop it. Even Rogan and Goldman said it was a good stoppage, and they never have a problem calling out a ref.

  The ref should have been fired. Yes, Koscheck was down but he still can defend himself. He was on ground guard position and it seems Paulo wasn't aggressively to attack him anyway. Boooo..Bad call. UFC refs suck.

  I agree. The refs in this whole event were horrible. This stoppage and the quick stand ups when fighters are positioning themselves on the ground pissed me off. They are influenced by the fat out of shape drunks in the stands booing.
