UFC QUICK QUOTE: Wanderlei silva talks about the possibility of retirment

“I love to fight…. I don’t know what’s going to happen after I stop because — you imagine you don’t go into work tomorrow? You’re going to stay at home, it’s finished, Where are you going? Because I’ve had this job my whole life…. If I wanted to have money, I’d buy apartments, now they’re so cheap. But I’m a fighter, not a Realtor(R)….. I really really like to fight. The emotion, every time I go into the Octagon and the crowd (goes) ‘aaah.’ This is priceless. This is unbelievable. Sometimes you hit the guy or the guy hits you and the public goes ‘wow.’ I love this. I don’t like the bad fights where they boo…. Sometimes I put my heart in front of my technique. Now my coach talks to me: ‘Easy, easy, easy’ … this time I need to fight for a win. I need this, I really need this. But it’s possible I’m going to give a show too.”

While technically he is still young, just 32 (which is the age Randy Couture started in the UFC) in terms of the damage his body has taken he's gotta be one of the oldest guys out there. His style was (is) so exciting and he put on so many great fights but you just had to know he was going to burn out at a young age. Somebody like Anderson Silva could probably fight until he's 45 if he wanted and still be competitive, he rarely gets hit and his body should hold up. It's probably best if Wanderlei can't put a good performance on against Rich to possibly think about just training fighters for a living, especially if he gets knocked out.

Show some more respect to a real fighter, he is still young, might be a new start in the middle weight division, there is still a lot more fight in Wanderliei !!!
