UFC Quick Quote: Is Brock Lesnar too big and too slow for MMA?

“Honestly, I think big guys are easier to fight. They don’t move as fast, they get tired quickly and they’re not as technical…. If I want to sharpen my tools I have to work with somebody who’s not a sitting target like Forrest. Who moves around a lot, he’s extremely conditioned. He’s fast and can throw 300 punches compared to 30 punches a round. Forrest is my worst nightmare. Basically you have to go for broke and knock him out, and if you don’t he’s still going to be standing there coming after you…. There’s so many things going on in the fight. I think his mind will be paralyzed because he’s having to deal with so many new elements. Instead of going for things real slow and powerful, I may as well go for speed so I can add more chaos to his brain.”

I bet brock could go 10 rounds if he wanted. He has more stamina then mir, and mir is always injured. mir doesnt have a chance in hell of winning this fight... Mark my words..

    sorry for the typos:
brock has some amazing qualities , but lets look at the herring and couture fights. herring: he damaged herring early on, so make it thru 3 rnds was NOT as much of an accomplishment cardio wise as a back and forth even fight. couture: the couture fight was more back and forth and lesnar was huffing into the 5th minute of rnd 1 so if the fight goes past rnd 1 i've gotta pick mir. otherwise mir by sub or KTFO or TKO in rnd 1 or lesnar with big onslaught in first minute

Remember how tired he got with Randy? Anytime you pack on a lot of muscle you sacrifice your cardio stamina. The blood doesn't flow as freely, a good example is rock climbing, women have a easier time than men because they have smaller muscles.

It is going to be one hell of a fight. But if Brock can catch him with one punch then its over..Something about getting hit by a 260 plus lb guy that doesn't go well with most peoples daily routine...

Brocks cardio isnt all that. Watch the Randy fight. Brock was worn out in the second round and the shot that hurt Randy didnt even look big at all.
Brock has fought small guys and hasnt impressed me at all. He should have destroyed everyone.

BUT Brock is extremely fast for his weight. I'm not sure whether his cardio is as good...We're yet to see him fight more than two rounds.
