Nogueira had his time, but it's still hard to see a legend fall like that. He has the heart, but has taken too many beatings.

Everyone's saying Cain is the next heavy weight champion because he destroyed Nogueira. If you remember, Frank Mir destroyed him as well and was man handled by Brock. Cain is even smaller than Mir and doesn't have near the submission skills as he does, at least to my knowledge. As much as I dislike Brock, I think he will destroy Cain.

really though, tell me something you fedor nutfuccs......are you nervous.....be realistic....do you think fedor has any chance against technical fighters like cain velasquez, let alone frank mir or anderson silva......i mean, you cant live off of that slow overhand hook forever....mma striking is evolving, and fedor knows this...

Yea but Cain is as good a wrestler and his striking is light years ahead of Lesnar's so he could use his wrestling in reverse. Oh and the weight thing really isnt a big deal because in college Cain went up against 285lb. wretlses so he's use to being smaller than his opponent.

Cain has improved....
His stand up looks impressive. I was most impressed with the technique he used. He mixed up his striking with a good mix of high and low, kicks and punches, and showed a versatility I mistakenly believed he lacked. That was near flawless execution. Good job Cain. Can't wait for Cain vs Brock.

No he should fight the winner of the Mir and Carwin fight and the winner of the Velasquez and Mir/Carwin fight should fight Brock, Cain will be a bad match up for any of them with his hand speed.

Totally, totally underestimated this guy's standup. We most likely are looking at the new UFC champion. He has the wrestling to stay on his feet with Brock, and the power to knock his Brock off. I'm a man and I can admit it, totally wrong about this guy...wow

Not sure I have ever seen a guy improve as quickly as Cain, I mean just a year ago his stand up was pretty much none existent and now he looks really good. I'd hate to be whomever Cain faces next.

Cain is no joke, the guy is very fast for HW, it's ridiculous.
Top wrestling, stamina forever and now solid stand up, watch out big guys.

Cain executed 12 kicks to none and beat NOG to every punch. Impressive game plan!
I hope to see Velazsquez vs Carwin instead of Carwin vs MIR.

Velasquez will take the HW crown inside of a year imo, i rated him very highly anyway but that performance, against a TRUE champion of the sport, blew me away. I still don't get how people seem to think Brock is un-touchable, he is a tough fight for anyone yes but that really is purely down to his size and strength, what's he going to do when he's losing the striking match and he can't get the takedown?, which is a very real threat against Cain, then we'll see just how good Brock is. If i was comparing the two i would have Cain streets ahead of Lesnar, definately in the striking and imo (some won't like this) his wrestling is, at worst, equal to Lesnars but i actually think he's better. i really think we'll see him take the title off Brock this year, that's if Mir or Carwin don't get to him first..........

I agree Cain can use his wrestling in reverse and out class him with his beautiful stand up. He landed 3 punches to Big Nogs 1 in that final exchange.
