    I love Wanderlei. He is a legend. A tough guy. great fighter.

    He is also right on the Shogun-Machida fight: Everybody knows that! Shogun won.

    But when he fought against Franklin, it was in Germany. He didn't try to finish Franklin at all. Local politicians were all against the UFC, so Dana White told Wanderlei not to KILL Franklin.

    You can see how Wanderlei was playing with the crowd rather than murdering his opponent.

    People put too much importance on aggression. It's not how aggressive you are, but how effective you are. If being extremely aggressive leads to being more effective then, yes, that guy is doing better, but if his being aggressive does not lead to anything, then he is not being an effective, efficient fighter, and so should lose the round.

    I know this is a R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S Idea BUT think about this haha

    A tag Team street fight 2v2. With shogun and wanderlei VS Anderson silva and Lyoto machida. Even though The spider and the dragon are great fighters i think wanderlei/ shogun would win because of the simple fact that wanderlei has alot of experience fist fighting from back in the day and Shogun could finally stomp some bitches...... Plus ****ing chute box training is hardcore they get injuries all the time becuase they go 100% in sparring.

    To say Rua won "inarguably" is just stupid. Even Rogan said "I would hate to have to judge this fight" and "there haven't been any 10-8s". This was probably the closest fight I have ever seen. Wandy, I love you and you are a legend but you have taken WAY too many head shots. Post Script; I did think you beat Franklin.

    well, just wait for the next Machida fight...Just because he didn't perform well in his last one doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to be a champ. You all remember how much grief Anderson silva received after his fights against Patrick Cote and a fellow countryman. He proved to everyone how great he is in the last fight...
    So, don't haste to judge Lyoto...He's definitely one of the top fighters...

    YOU GUYS HAVE TO REALIZE ALL OF THE CATEGORIES JUDGED IN MMA BEGIN WITH "EFFECTIVE"... "EFFECTIVE AGGRESSION" IS DIFFERENT THAN "AGGRESSION". SHOGUN MAY HAVE LOOKED LIKE THE AGGRESSOR BUT HIS AGGRESSION WAS NOT EFFECTIVE IN THE SENSE THAT IT DIDN'T LEAD TO ANY DEVASTATING BLOWS, KNOCKDOWNS OR ANYTHING SIGNIFICANT WHICH COULD HAVE ENDED THE FIGHT. "EFFECTIVE OCTAGON CONTROL" IS DIFFERENT THAN "OCTAGON CONTROL". IF YOU'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCTAGON BUT DOING NOTHING WITH IT TO ATTACK WITH "EFFECTIVE STRIKES" OR ENACT "EFFECTIVE GRAPPLING" THEN YOU BASICALLY AREN'T USING THE OCTAGON CONTROL EFFECTIVELY AND THEREFORE DESERVE TO SCORE NO POINTS.     i actually wandy won his fight with rich as well. although it was a close fight the decision shouldnt have been unanimous for either fighter as in the shogun and machida fight. i thought both rua and wand shouldve won split decisions in their fights

    i think wand should come in to my shark tank and him and shogun can recieve an ass whoopin from the founder of the world famous shark tank EDDY MILLIS for free i will tie them together like hemp rope and then burn them up in my shark attack cardio class then take them into deep waters with my extremly devestating shark tank dutch kickboxing . when i am done with them we will eat sushi and i will coach them back to the shallow waters alive so they can tell the ufc about it ....sharktankusa.com

    this is how the scoring system should be its very simple.....this is how the scoring system should work: strikes, devastating strikes, takedowns, submission attempts, knockdowns, and agression........and the value of each category frm greateast to least: knockdowns, agression, devastating strikes, takedowns, strikes, and submission attempts..... case closed it doesnt take rocket science to figure this out ppl

    Great guy, but way off base.

    "Shogun unarguably won the fight." LOL. This guy is in such denial he can't even admit that it was, at least, a close fight.

    "Machida landed a few punches in the fight." LOL. I guess that is Wandi's way of avoiding having to admit that Lyoto landed more strikes.

    "Shogun tried harder to end the fight." Yeah right. What, with a few leg kicks? The main exchange of punches was initiated by Lyoto, and he landed like 6 or 7 to Shogun's one in that exchange. He landed more strikes all around. Maybe (maybe) Shogun has more power then him, but the guy with the most power shouldn't automatically win a decision.

    "MMA needs better judges." Judges who ignore the fact of who landed the most strikes would *NOT* be doing a better job. Basically, Wandi just wants judges who will give decisions to him and to fighters he likes.

    Wanderlei is the man! He explained the fight situation perfectly, hes very well spoken. UFC should try and establish something to have MMA fighters be the Judges. doubt it would happen but it would be the best for the sport and the fighters. Glad to see he removed his scar tissue. Cant wait to see em fight again.

    I would love to have Wand speaking for me. He really sold his point on how he think Rua won the fight...lol. I also love the way he threw in his fight with Rich Franklin which was much less of a shocking decision....lol.

    If Machida won the rematch there should be a third fight anyway because many people will still call it 1-1. Looking forward to part 2...

    Aggression is important but it has to be effective agression. Rua's aggression was not always accurate according to the judges. Who cares nowanyway ?? REMATCHHHH !!!!
