Wanderlei Silva tips Michael Bisping for top

Silva made it clear that he had urged UFC president Dana White to create a new 195lb division, for “the guys who are big in the middleweight division [185lbs] but small in the light-heavyweight ranks [up to 205lbs].”
Silva and Franklin meet for the first UFC fight at catchweight 195lbs here at the Lanxess Arena, with 13,000 tickets sold. “It would be great to have the division, as we have seen a lot of guys develop who could fit into that weight. It would be perfect for me,” said the Brazilian who is revered around the world by mixed martial arts fans.
Silva also believes the UK’s leading mixed martial artist Michael Bisping could break into the Big Time in the next six months. “Bisping could do well against Dan Henderson [at UFC 100 in Las Vegas next month] and I would give him a chance against Anderson Silva [the UFC middleweight champion]. Bisping is a big middleweight, is a strong puncher, who has improved a lot in the last year,” he said.
There are several insiders who believe that if Silva triumphs over Franklin on Saturday night, a future fight between Bisping and Wanderlei Silva could be on the cards in Manchester in September or October before the British fighters earns his title shot.
Silva also expressed his amazement at the attention he received from UK fans of the sport when he attended two seminars there. “We are seeing here in Germany that we are again bringing the sport to a new market, and it has been a real growth for MMA in the UK in the last two years. I was amazed by the number of fans I met in the UK when I was there.”

i might be going for Hendo at 100 but i wouldnt count bisping out....watever about bisping fighting "soft opponents"i would like to see these people who critisise bisping step in to the ring with his opponents and see how padded they are....Bisping Vs Thunderfist Hendo should be explosive

I think that Wanderlei will really be a force in the middleweight division only if he can get the weight cut down to a science. His fight with Franklin showed how much it took out of him. His camp should've better prepared him for the 20'lbs he needed to lose instead of a water weight cut torcher fest. Slow controled method over a 3 month camp would keep his stamina at the right level. I think he should be given the loser of the Bisping vs Hendo fight. Which will probably be Bisping. I like Bisping but he has really had a lack luster list of fights. Only fight with a talented title holder was Evans who won the decision. Bisping couldn't finish Leben and really looked like he was afraid to exchange with him. Good game plan, yes, but not a great show of MMA skill. I thought he would finish Leben with a submission, but he instead used good footwork to drag out a long boring decision.
