The irank is a tool, which enable us to rank our users (you), according to their activities in the site. The irank grade runs from 0 to 10, 0 being a new user who don't have a lot of activity in the site, where a user with irank 8 is a veteran user, who submit plenty of good quality items to the site, write comments and contribute in a positive manner to the site, measured by the community. The more you submit fresh relevant quality content, and the more you will write interesting or smart comments, the higher your irank will be.

But how do we know that your items are quality and good ?
Well that's the beauty part, because whoever determine if ones submission or comment is good, is you, the user!, and as a hole, the community. Meaning, if you will submit an item, the community can now rank that item weather they like it or not, And the same goes to your comment, the community will see your comments and will rank it weather they like it or not, weather they think it's smart or not. And now, the Irank system will calculate and determine all this factors into a user rank.

If you have high irank, that means that you doing a good job :), and that usually, your post are interesting and positive, as well as your comments, according to the community. If you have low irank, well than all you need to do is improve it. How ? simply submit more interesting items and comments. if you will do so, over time you bound to improve your irank and climb up the letter of our top users.

But why do you need high irank ?
Your Irank will reflect on the user and his future activities in the site. The idea of the irank, is to better the site content and community wise. When the irank system realize that a user have high irank, it will give it priority in his future submissions. And so now, whenever i want to submit item, because of my high irank, the system will push my item to the top of the page, give it priority and exposure for the entire community. Where a low irank submitter, will still gone have to work on his grade ( by submit quality content ), in order for him to improve his irank, and to get exposure in the site.

To summarize, we will say that your activity in the community counts! , we will reward our top users, our high irank users in plenty of exposure and visibility in the site, because we know, according to their irank, that they are indeed good quality users.
