Ramiro I don't think he meant that Fedor is a one-dimensial fighter, everybody knows that Fedor got skills. I think that what they meant whas that Fedor maybe a little one-dimesional in his striking, in terms of his punching vs a boxers. Of course he can knee him in the face, kick him or sub him. But Fedor got power but as you saw in that clip that Fedors puncing skills isn't that fluid and quick as some other people have. But he is the most complete heavyweight out there. But in a boxing match, Both Mercer and Toney would take him out. I think that's what they meant, that punching wise compared to a boxer. Yes, then he is a little one-dimensional. He is still a beast and will defeat anybode who steps into the cage with him, i agree to that too so don't start Fedor war on me, please:)) But imagine, focusing a little more on his punching and learning that trade better what that would do to his game. read more » -
KILLKLOK Toney will learn respect for wrestling and jiu jitsu soon enough. But he is too old and wont survive long enough to build a top level ground game. His best bet is to train nothing but takedown defense and mount/submission escapes. Very impressive knockout by Mercer. read more » -

I got a lot more respect for Rey Mercer then Toney now after seeing this. Rey's honest and talks realistically, and respects the ground game. It's fairly clear that MMA is more difficult, and it's fairly clear that MMA is rapidly eclipsing boxing with no reason to believe that that's going to change.
